Spend your summer somewhere that matters

We hire counselors, head counselors, and lifeguards for both sides of camp — people who want a summer of real responsibility and real joy. Previous campers especially welcome.

Open roles

Where you might fit

We hire for the summer season, roughly late June through early August, with staff training in the week beforehand.

Counselor

Boys · Girls

The heart of the camp. You'll have a group of six to ten children and be the person who knows them best all summer.

We’re looking for: Warmth, patience, and a genuine liking for children.

Junior Counselor

Boys · Girls

Share a group with a counselor and learn the job from beside them. It is how most of our staff started, and former campers are exactly who we have in mind.

We’re looking for: Reliability, and the willingness to be taught.

Toddler Counselor

Preschool

The Little Ones — our youngest campers, boys and girls together until they turn 6. Small hands, long days, and the group that asks the most of you.

We’re looking for: Experience with small children, and real patience.

Head Counselor

Boys · Girls

Run your side of camp: support your counselors, shape the week, and be the steady adult when the afternoon gets complicated. One for the boys, one for the girls.

We’re looking for: Camp experience and the instinct to step in early.

Lifeguard

Boys · Girls

Cover instructional swim and free swim. The pool is the busiest place at camp and you are the reason it stays safe. Boys and girls swim separately, so we hire for both.

We’re looking for: Current lifeguard certification. We can help you renew.

Director

General staff

Run the season: the staff, the programme, the parents, and the hundred decisions a day that are nobody else's to make.

We’re looking for: Years of camp behind you and the judgement to carry a summer.

Something else in mind? Choose Other on the form below and tell us what you’d like to do.

What to expect

Honest expectations

It is a real job

Long days, loud afternoons, and children who need you at your best when you are tired. Camp work is genuinely demanding.

You will be supported

Training before the season, a head counselor who has your back, and a director who is on the grounds every day.

Background checks

Every staff member is screened before the season. We cover the cost.

It changes people

Ask anyone who has done it. Most of our staff came back the following summer, and many were campers here first.
