Age groups

Three divisions

Boys and girls are separate from age six, each division with its own counselors and its own age-based groups. Our youngest campers, ages 3–5, are together in Preschool.

Preschool

Ages 3–5

Our youngest campers, boys and girls together, move in a small steady group with the same familiar faces all day. Mornings are for water and play; afternoons slow down for stories, sand, and shade.

Boys

Ages 6–13

From age six the boys have their own division, with age-based groups inside it so the youngest and the oldest each get a day pitched right for them. Swim instruction every morning, and the ballfield rivalries that come with it.

Girls

Ages 6–13

From age six the girls have their own division, with its own counselors, its own activities, and age-based groups inside it. The same full day on the mountaintop, run separately.

A day at camp

What a normal day looks like

Each division runs its own day. Times shift a little with the weather, but this is the shape of it.

Camp runs Monday to Thursday, 10:00am – 4:00pm, and Friday, 10:00am – 3:00pm.

    Arrival & morning circle

    Songs, the weather chart, and who is here today.

  2. 10:30

    Water play

    Shallow-water splash time with two counselors in the water.

  3. 11:15

    Snack

    Sitting together outside when the weather allows.

  4. 11:45

    Sensory & nature play

    Sand, water table, and short walks to the meadow.

  5. 12:30

    Lunch

    Eaten with their own counselors, at their own pace.

  6. 1:15

    Rest & quiet

    Mats, stories, and a proper nap for those who need one.

  7. 2:30

    Craft or music

    Something to carry home most days.

  8. 3:15

    Free play

    Outdoors whenever possible.

  9. 3:50

    Closing circle

    A song, then bags and shoes.

  10. 4:00

    Dismissal

    Fridays finish an hour earlier, at 3:00pm.

Every week

Our Activities

Swimming

Instructional swim every morning, free swim every afternoon, taught by certified staff.

Sports

Soccer, basketball, gaga, kickball, and the running battle of colour war.

Arts and Crafts

Ceramics, woodworking, painting, and a camp-wide art show at the end of the summer.

Trips

Weekly off-site trips to Kaaterskill Falls and North-South Lake, plus hikes for the older divisions.
